DiolazeXL® can safely and effectively treat unwanted hair on many areas of the face and body. Common treatment areas include the underarms, legs, bikini line, brazilian area, arms, chest, back, stomach, neck, chin, upper lip, and full face. Because hair grows in cycles, a series of treatments is recommended to effectively target follicles during their active growth phase. During your consultation, we will create a customized treatment schedule based on your hair growth patterns, skin tone, and desired results. The exact number of treatments needed is client dependent. Clients that purchase packages will receive 50% off any future touch ups for the treatment area purchased after completion of package services.

• Avoid waxing, tweezing, threading, or depilatory creams for 3-4 weeks before your appointment.

• Shave within 24 hours of your appointment.

• Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner before and after your appointment to reduce sensitivity and treatment risks.

• Arrive with clean skin free of lotions, oils, makeup, deodorant, or skincare products in the treatment area.

• Complete your consent forms before your appointment.

During your consultation, we will review your medical history, medications, skin type, and treatment goals to ensure DiolazeXL® is safe and appropriate for you.

1. Consultation: Your visit begins with a consultation with either our advanced esthetician Sheena or registered nurse Abbie to determine treatment areas and answer questions.

2. Treatment: The DiolazeXL® device delivers controlled laser energy to hair follicles during the procedure. Built-in cooling technology ensures comfort. Patients describe a mild snapping or warming sensation against the skin. Treatment time varies by area size, with smaller areas taking a few minutes and larger areas requiring more time.

• 3. Post-care guidance: Following treatment, mild redness or sensitivity similar to a slight sunburn may occur temporarily and typically resolves within several hours to a few days. After treatment, avoid excessive heat, saunas, strenuous exercise, and direct sun exposure for at least 24–48 hours. Daily sunscreen use is strongly recommended on treated areas exposed to sunlight. Patients should also avoid waxing or tweezing between sessions, though shaving is permitted as needed.

• Results begin: Hair reduction gradually occurs over weeks after treatment as treated follicles shed, resulting in finer, lighter, and less dense hair. Multiple sessions are needed for optimal long-term reduction due to hair’s varying growth cycles.

• Full results/recovery: Because hair grows in different cycles, multiple sessions are required for optimal long-term reduction.

• Longevity: variable depending on hormonal changes, ethnicity, age, and hair quality. After a package is completed many patients may require additional touch ups every 6-12 months.
